Terms of Use

The ground rules for using our calculators. Plain-English, but they matter.

Effective May 27, 2026Last updated May 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using wagewright.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Permitted use

You may use our calculators for your own personal or business planning, free of charge. You agree not to misuse the site — for example, by trying to break it, scrape it at scale, or interfere with how it works for others.

3. Estimates, not advice

WageWright provides estimates for general information only — not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice.

Our paycheck and payroll calculators apply published tax rates and standard formulas to the numbers you enter. They produce estimates. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, and they do not reflect every detail of your personal situation. Your actual take-home pay depends on your full Form W-4, local taxes, benefit elections, garnishments, and your employer's payroll system. Always verify important figures with a licensed tax professional or your employer's payroll department before relying on them.

4. Accuracy & availability

We work hard to keep our tax data current and our math correct, and we verify every calculator against worked examples before publishing. Even so, tax laws change, sources can contain errors, and software can have bugs. We provide the site "as is," without warranty of any kind, and we don't guarantee that any result is accurate, complete, or current. We may change, suspend, or remove any calculator at any time.

5. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, and original calculator code are owned by WageWright and protected by law. You may share links to our pages freely. You may not copy, republish, or resell substantial parts of the site without our written permission.

6. Third-party links & advertising

Our pages may link to other websites and may display advertising served by third parties such as Google. We don't control that content and aren't responsible for it. Seeing an ad on WageWright is not an endorsement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, WageWright and anyone involved in creating the site will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its calculators — including financial loss from acting on an estimate. Your sole remedy if you're unhappy with the site is to stop using it.

8. Indemnification

You agree to hold WageWright harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
